Very blessed

Dear family and friends,
It has been a great week. We have been blessed with so many things and it is impossible to name them all. One of the goals that we had this week was that we would have members come teach and testify with us.

We had some appointments set up ad a member, Tony, agreed to come. just before the lessons, Tony text-ed us saying that his car had some problems with it so that he couldn't come . We were a disappointed because The lessons are not going to go as well without having members testify with us. Our goals and plans were disrupted. We were traveling to our appointment on a crowded bus, usually, that is a good chance to talk with people and get their phone numbers and teach them. However, temptation came to me telling me that I should not do that. Our plans are already ruined and there is no reason for us to take the risk of being rejected and lower our morale even more.

I saw a Chinese girl sitting on the seat just next to the rear exit of the bus. I knew that it is my duty to talk with everyone and share the gospel. Even though Satan tempted me not to, I decided to go talk to her. Just when I was about to talk to her, to my surprise, she waved at me. She introduced herself in Mandarin that she is a member from the Bayview Ward. She just happened to be on that bus that day. It was not a usual route that she takes and she was surprised to see Elders on the bus. I told her that we were going to teach some investigators and invited her to join us. She ended up teaching three lessons with us that day and her testimony really brought the Spirit unto our investigators' hearts.

I am very grateful for Heavenly Father's arrangement and I know that he listens. I recognized it. I know that it was a test. If I didn't have the discipline to push myself to be obedient, we would not have had such Spiritual power in our lessons. I am grateful that I passed this test.

How many tests have we failed and failed to recognize because of our weaknesses and unworthiness? May we all be humble and allow the Spirit of the Lord to work through us unhindered.

Elder Bednar

Dear family and friends,

This week was incredible because we got to see Elder Bednar, Elder Foster from the 70's and Bishop Davies from the presiding bishopric all at once. It was an amazing experience. I really enjoyed hearing them speak and they taught me things that are very, very valuable to apply in our lessons with our investigators.

We are also very excited for General conference and that our investigators have the chance to watch it live. It will help them gain a testimony of the truthfulness of the prophets and apostles who live today to guide the Church of God.

Anyway, those are the news of this week. I'll bring you more good news in the coming weeks.

Love,
Elder Lee

Just moved

Dear family and friends,
This week is good. We just moved into a new apartment and it is making us quite busy. So I don't have too much time doing emails today.
We achieved Standards again this week. We had a ward fireside about missionary work and I was really glad that the members are willing to learn about fulfilling their missionary responsibilities. Another thing we did differently this week was that we brought two prospective missionaries to go out contacting with us. It was good to see that we could help them develop more faith, taste the joy of missionary work and strengthen their desire to go on a mission. We also found a couple new investigators that day.
More of our investigators are coming to church and they are progressing towards baptism. The work is going pretty great.
Talk to you next week!

Standards! Moving!‏

Dear family and friends,
This week we finally achieved the Standards! It's the first time Elder Moore and I did it and we are excited to do that more consistently as we get more familiar with the area and with more progressing investigators.
Jennifer is a wife of a long-time member, she got married last year and we are excited to finally help her be baptized. The Spirit was strong when we invited her to be baptized in the lesson. Hopefully she will build up her testimony in Heavenly Father before the end of March. She needs your prayers!
Our other investigator, Simon, came to church yesterday. He is the first Seneca student that we were able to take to church and we are glad that our efforts didn't go to waste. He enjoyed church a lot and wants to come again. He plans to be baptized on the 13th of April and he is already committed to live the Word of Wisdom.
Another good news! We are moving to another place in our area. It is a basement of someone's house and it has a really good location. We will be able to travel much more efficiently and we are excited to work in the places where we didn't focus on more frequently.
So these are the good news of the week. We are starting a new transfer and it is going to be great. I'm glad that I didn't get transferred away so that I could work in the Cantonese field one more transfer.
Love,
Elder Lee

6-months in Toronto

Dear family and friends,
How are you all? This week has been great here in Toronto. I have spent 6 months in Toronto now and time is seriously flying by. During these months I have changed and have gained a lot of scriptural knowledge. Still, I am working hard to improve as quickly as possible.
During these months I have learn to trust in the Lord more and more. My faith is growing and my testimony has been built up through recognizing all the prayers that God has answered and his help in the work.
There isn't too much exciting news recently. I will keep you updated and hopefully our investigators will progress quickly towards baptism faster. Please pray for them.
